Making NO political comment - and believe me, that requires a great deal of self-control on my part - the trouble with drawing Johnson is the malleability of his features, the mobility of his expressions.... With Churchill, you got a scowl: with Bevan you got a pose; with Harold Wilson - pipe smoke. Their features settled, when the cameras were about; Johnson's change, gurn somewhat, his facial expressions are exaggerated. What if anything this says about him I leave to you, but you've caught something of that changeable facial weather.

Thank you for your comments . With the mention of Churchill (and I am honoured if it was the Graham Sutherland painting that was in your mind ) I hope this painting doesn't get burnt !

Very good likeness, unusuallybI have some sympathy for politicians at the moment. He may well look worried and confused!
