Nicely done Ruth. I am toying with starting a watercolour but a very difficult one as it is morning light on a lake and not sure yet

A really superb watercolour-I can almost hear the waves lapping the shore, and you have captured the sun shining through the clouds perfectly.

Derek, give it a go! Splatter some masking fluid for sparkle and then splatter some white gouache last thing. Thank you for your comment.

A lovely painting. I particularly like the waves falling onto the shore. You have managed to use masking fluid without losing the lightness of watercolour. It certainly inspires to try something similar.

Judith, thanks so much for the comments, especially the masking fluid comment as I hate the stuff and don't normally use it!! I don't have much patience when applying it so this was a challenge.
