In the garden

Just looking at these flowers in my garden today, they were full of butterflies! Nice work, I like the leaves especially. Maybe a tiny bit more definition in tone between the three lots of flowers, otherwise great, well done Ruth.

Thank you, Carol. I could separate the two heads on the left, it might improve the painting. I'll try that. The flowers are so heavy and the scent ..Wow!..I have quite a few bees unsteady on their legs every autumn. One pathway is completely blocked by overhanging blossom heads.

I thought it was one flower opened out wide. Looks fine to me. I really like your leaves and the use of negative spaces; just what I've been trying today and have just posted. It must be a flower day.

Thank you Diana....no, it was three heads on one flower. They are so lovely it's difficult to do justice to them. I'm really surprised by these nice comments. Off to have a look at yours now, I'm sure it will be superb...

I thought it was one flower too. Overall this is a very nice composition so much so it made me want to take a good look. So you should be proud.

Thank you Jeanette, it's good of you to comment, I do appreciate it. I find it hard - I suppose we all do, to be subjective about my work, and it's a real help to get feedback. I have changed this one a little, made a more definite break between the heads, and a bit of work on a leaf. I'll post it tomorrow when I've photographed it in daylight.
