This is a soft pastel painting of a lovely dog - the title comes from the fact that she has found her pot of gold - her fabulous new home with Linda Franklin, who kindly shared the original reference photo on the PaintMyPhoto website. It is painted very loosely with only the eye being rendered more tightly as the focal point. I was going to work the entire painting up, but felt that the looser strokes befitted her lovely coat. As usual, I've got carried away with the colours...
