Interesting technique - haven't tried it. Think I'd be a little careful about hard edges -- a sky is best captured in as few strokes as possible, in - in my humble opinion - as wet in wet an approach as possible. That term "Kursaal" doesn't half take you back - to the time when Queen Victoria ruled, and most of the heads of state of Europe were directly related to her.

Watercolor on 140 lb not. Size 8 x 6" I enjoy painting this type of thing, as you can see I am a fairly loose watercolor Artist! I have experimented with a new (for me) method of working on the clouds. Used lifting preperation so that adding the warm cloud shadow to the dry blue sky, loosened the dry paint easily to lift the whites. Thus adding cloud shadow and highlight in 'one hit' Hope that makes sense!
