So pretty, the colours and their wings with soft feathers make these Chaffinches look sprite!

I enjoy painting the wildlife I can actually see and become familiar with in my local area rather than working from images I've resourced elsewhere, at least when I can. This pair were nesting in some woodland near my home and their melodic singing inspired me to paint their portrait. It was painted last Spring, but to my delight they reappeared again this year so I decided to share them online.
