Nice. Very delicate. You avoided the trap of putting too much detail. In this case less is more. Like it. Thanks for the comments on my stuff. I use white conte pencils for the monochrome drawings and the rest are pastels. PS Is Rose Madder your real name or a nom de plume?

Alan - thank you for the good comments. I am in a Life group and we meet weekly. The practise is improving my drawing but I feel 'clumsy' when I try pastel. I watercolour life and portrait too with mixed success. Erm well spotted, Rose Madder is my little joke! I think you must hie your own model because they are so beautifully posed - in a group you have to take what you can get and its hard to be in a good position because moving around just causes lots of sighs and tut tuts.

Yes Rose, I am lucky enough to have 4 regular models all with different qualities (who always ask when the next session will be when they see me!) and a number of one-offs who have posed for commissions or just as a favour. I have total control over the lighting and poses. What I don't get is the interchange of ideas that a group generates - so swings and roundabouts. When I've met my present commitments I will look around for a group to join to expand my repertoire.
