This is one mixed media piece based on a day in February when I was on Cromer Pier and photographing the gulls as research for some lino prints when I heard an elderly man singing to Status Quo's 'Sweet Caroline' it was so cold and he was so jolly with a back drop of the north sea and the grey purple sea and workmen reparing the Pier out of season in their orange overalls everything seemed to set a scene of daily life in harmony.On hand made paper 31cm squares ink and collage are applied with oil paint and drawn lines on top .
