Very interesting, Rosamunde. I like the view on the woman from above. However, I don't see the act of hair dying or her hair being dyed. Was she really naked?

Yes, well expressed Rosamunde, by way of bold pigments to emphasise the stigma the lady is attatched to, as covering her natural hair colour with red dye. I admire the palette of bold pigments for the posture and her look of distain as grey hair is a natural process and by dying her hair red she is covering her hair with artificial colour, far removed from being content with what nature has produced. The passerbys are oblivious to her stigma, so the red dye drips , yet nature still produces grey hair. Actually I interpret a strong and definite law of nature manifesting here in the concept, likened to 'let and live' with life as it is.

Both these posts are really soul searching and the conceptual depth immense, Rosamunde

I was out in the town late summer and it had just got chilly whe I saw a yougn woman dying her hair red on the path on the high street. I wondered why is was so inportant to do this here and now and as I watched I realised that for her it was esential. I changed the people to protect her identity. Oil on Canvas
