This sums up several of the places that Jill and I visited on a holiday in Provence. I wanted to go to Arles as Van Gogh was one of the artists that I admired when I first got interested in art as a schoolboy. I'm sure that the town is no longer as it was when he was there, particularly as the original house where he lodged was destroyed during WW11 so the Van Gogh museum/house is more like a Disney replica, that isn't even in the same spot. But just a little way from that was this house with the blue shutters.
