A beautiful painting Ron. Love the colours.

A lovely painting of an unusual rock formation!!

Yes the rock formation looks great, lovely painting Ron.

In parts verging on abstract - if you didn’t know these were rock formations. Very dramatic with the striking colours Ron, that wonderful blue against the sizzling brown - but this is Australia. We’ve been to Uluru and it brings back that experience.

Love how you have captured the heat and brilliant light. Such intriguing colours within the rock formations and a wonderful record to keep, as no doubt the appearance will change with time.

Nature just seems to get it right doesn’t she……I bet this is a stunning sight.

Thank you Dympna, David, Denise, Marjorie, Carole & Fiona. There’s a lot of really earthy colours in the Australian desert areas.

Oil on panel, 12x16in. The Painted Desert is an area in South Australia, also known as the Arckaringa Hills, where the rock strata reveals these wonderful colours. From a photo taken by some friends of ours who are 'grey nomads' and take to the warmer areas during the West Australian winter - yes, it can get cold here too (1.5C last night).
