These are regular, soft pastels, not oil pastel? Not that it matters, it's just technically interesting - the portrait works extremely well and it's good to see a pastel which hasn't been blended to death.

I've been painting all my life but only this last 4 years started to use watercolour and I absolutely love it, I'm painting horse racing paintings at the moment and seem to sell everywhere they arte shown which cant be bad.
