This a lovely study of accuracy, detail, techinque and observancy. However and no doubt i will receive flak for this IMHO her head is too small compared to her frame. Be grateful for your response

Nice painting Roger reminds me in many ways of Vermeer. Lovely work.

Awesome, something to aspire to. So much fine detail,can only imagine the concentration and patience put into this.

As Dennis says, it does have an "old master" feel to it and echoes of Vermeer in the subject matter but not in the method. As ever, Roger, very accomplished.

Such a lot of detail , and so well executed....super work.

Thank you everyone who commented last night. Very much appreciated as always and thank you for the greetings! This painting of Muse was a one-off experience. Everything seemed to work without the usual stress and panic, but as to why....I have no idea. Its companion piece, on the other hand, 'Basia at Piano 2', completed this weekend, is quite another story!!!
