I make absolutely no apologies for this dreadful bit of scribble, any more than POL staff apologise for putting a restriction on the number of uploads, relying on, presumably, the 'common sense' and 'good nature' of people unfamiliar to this site and hasn't that paid dividends in the past! Now, here's the thing...am I tempted to flood this gallery to saturation level, screwing up...sorry...spoiling it for anyone who is behind and hoping to have genuine endeavour appreciated? Oooo, it's so tempting and so easy....and we can all do it.Do you think that POL staff would notice? No replies please....purely rhetorical!

Well - we could all post our life's work in one day which might effectively shut the gallery down, but that would see us being as bad as the MP's and I am a great believer in never letting other people's bad behaviour compromise my own. Multiple posting is annoying and perhaps POL will ultimately see that having a posting limit (where you physically can't post more than a given number of paintings in one 24 hour period) benefits everybody. Like your cartoon though - brings this knotty problem to the fore.

I'd thought for a minute last night that the gallery had indeed been flooded to saturation level as it took ages for me to access the site. I also wondered what would be the result if we all posted too many all at once as some do. Your drawing sums up nicely how many of us feel and hopefully there will be a limit on posting work at any one time. One per day would be fair on everyone I think!

Staffers at POL have, I imagine, not been unaware of the dissatisfaction expressed by us...certainly they have an e mail from me and no doubt many others. The weight of opinion makes the present system crass and the thinking behind it, questionable. Thea, I haven't the heart to flood as a reaction any more than you, but I wonder just how effective passivity will be. This is now becoming a time - wasting issue and there are more important artistic considerations, which is why we are here in the first place. Staffers need to be flooded, not with uploads but with e mails. The forum for discussion won't do it...that's also passive. E mails are not. Louise suggests one per day and I agree. Time to pass on the message!
