This is what happens when something organic is left in the cellar and forgotten...but what a transformation from the rounded form and deep colour of its prime. The change was so dramatic that I couldn't resist a study because even in this pitiful state, it has a certain dignity. The colour changed daily while the skin texture began to look like a deflated bag. The mould was impressive and is slowly enveloping the skin. It's squishy, thoroughly unpleasant to handle and ought to be dumped. It's also developing a black warty texture, giving it real character and could possibly explode. But my question is..anyone for moussaka? Oil on canvas 40cm x 30cm. Better viewed large
