Beautifully painted Roger (should that be pastelled?!) , great distance and sense of place. I personally don’t like the feel of pastels in my hand, but seeing work like this makes me want to have a go!

I've got used to saying painted, Tessa, or sometimes drawn seems more accurate, I'm never sure. When I was 18, I was told by a friend who went on to do a fine art degree, that pastels were my best medium. I knew that Jackie was right but I was put off by the careful storage needed. Nearly 40 years later, I realised that I achieve my most spontaneous work with pastels. Don't be put off. Wipes might be the answer if you're working outdoors.
