Autumn in County Durham

Absolutely gorgeous Roger, full of sunshine. Love the thick areas of paint.

A lovely autumnal feel to this.

Thank you both. I made more of the mud in this third version. I love ruts and tyre tracks. And autumn leaves, of course.

Love your inimitable style Roger and the spontaneity of your juicy, autumnal marks here.

Always good Roger

Super painting. I like the colouring and distance you have achieved. Roger, are you related to the well known artist in Snowdonia called Gerald Gadd?

No David, I'll look him up.

Reall good for a plein air study Roger.

This one was done at home, Frank but I'd been there the two previous days which helped with keeping it fresh I think.

A lovely country painting, Roger. That path really looks very muddy!

Hang on Studio Wall

16" x 20" oil on canvas. I returned to Kimblesworth yesterday and painted a plein air oil which will need some finishing touches when it's dry. I wanted to try out a studio oil today to see whether I could achieve freshness indoors. I'm pleased with this; I stopped when I was starting to fiddle. I'll post the mainly outdoor version when it's finished.
