Thank you, Stephen. Are you the man who knows my uncle, Don Bastow?

I think this is working really well, has got very good depth

Love the warm blend of colours in the sand and the rocks look good to me.

Looks fabulous to me Roger. I love your Peploe - ish palette.

Thank you all. Always pleased to be linked with the Colourists, Fiona.

I really like the light pinkish sand and rocks in contrast to the sea, mountains and sky - lovely painting, Roger

Is that a reflection from your camera on that larger rock to the right? That's what it looks like - but if that's how you painted it, I think more detail, though not much, and more tonal contrast would help us to read the painting better. Like the foreground - keeping it simple, and using the appropriate colour and tone.

Yes, Robert. When I'd taken the photo, in daylight, I thought there was some reflection from the automatic flash. But thank you for your constructive criticism. I'll look at the painting tomorrow with that in mind and possibly take another photo outdoors.

I like the way you have used diagonals in this painting. A great leading in to the sea.

16" x 20" oil on board. I think this is finished: comments, please. I was trying to get more intense light on the rocks but couldn't go any lighter, or darker on the shadow sides. Then I realised that the solution was a slightly darker sky to provide better contrast.
