Even though I live by the sea, I find it hard to paint - so I've all the more respect for this; it's not easy at all to capture the movement, colour and sparkle of a mass of water; love that stream of lighter green at the horizon, which I see so often.

Thank you Robert. I rarely use a picture as a reference for my land- snow and seascapes or flower paintings. I paint from memory and imagination. For example; for my seascapes I use movies with only breakers and waves. I look at them and try to analyze what's going on. Then I go to my studio and paint. After a while I watch the video again.
