... Hi, Gudrun! One half of the painting is imaginary, really. From the window of a friend's studio, I could see the sky and the buildings. Nevertheless, instead the natural ground — unpleasant ground—, I decided to invent a lake so as to get some symmetry and to work as a mirror for the sky... Welcome, Gudrum :-)

A beautiful atmospheric painting Rodrigo, and the imagined foreground works very well. The harmonious colours work so well together - it is lovely.

Actually, after some time it's possible to handle and mix the reality and imagination; it´s possible taking out what we think to be unuseful elements and to put any other in to improve our work, in its general look.
