That's an interesting idea of using this mixing to help with your oil technique. That's a new idea for me. Maybe I'll try experimenting like that sometime. Thanks!

Yes, Dale! Idea is to look at brush as it was a pastel bar, what gives strenght in painting; you won't be no more combing the canvas :-). It is great when we can be useful It is worth trying.

This is lovely Rodrigo. I have always liked the energy in your paintings.

Thank you, Sylvia! Really, my goal always has been inputting energy and movement in my work, trying to reflect my own nature through it; to be working almost without thinking. The model is the starting point, whose character must be preserved... but I'm developing interpretations. So, it lets me free for adjusting the final look according to my inner vision... Welcome, Sylvia!

Another 'full on' and energetic painting Rodrigo......I'm becoming a big fan of your art.

Thank you, Fiona! Elcome to my club :-). I'm kidding with you :-). Thank you for your visit and words. Best wishes

A very effective work - and I can certainly see how this sort of work would help with your oil painting. Not a brush-stroke wasted or out of place - that takes years of experience and study.

Hi, Robert! Good to hear from you :-) Really, even whether we are talking about something looking casual, in fact it is coming from methodical work. Observation, action, observation; watching what is going on and trying to improve composition and gesture, according to our final idea —this the reason why I say that my goal is to match emotion and reason; thsi is, in my opinion, the perfect marriage, if we get it... Big hug, John!

... This a small watercolour / soft pastel. I like very much to work with this mixing; it helps me on inputting of speed and graphism to my oil paintings.
