Yes, Dale! Idea is to look at brush as it was a pastel bar, what gives strenght in painting; you won't be no more combing the canvas :-). It is great when we can be useful It is worth trying.

The model is the starting point, whose character must be preserved... but I'm developing interpretations. So, it lets me free for adjusting the final look according to my inner vision... A very effective work - and I can certainly see how this sort of work would help with your oil painting. Not a brush-stroke wasted or out of place - that takes years of experience and study.
