Stunning colour and subject

This is a wonderful watercolor painting Rob. Very impressive work (from your bio, that you have graduated into watercolour only fairly recently)!! Fabulous dramatic sky, lovely light emanating from the back (L) over the mountains thru the water to the foreground. Beautiful sunset, love the way you have handled the mountains, cliffs and water. How great that you live in the north of Scotland! I hope to come visit one day, my Mom's side is from the Arbroath and Dundee area, my cousins live outside Dundee.....

Thank you Nancy - I was pleased with this one. After several commissions with compositions dictated mostly by the customer, it was nice to kick back and simplify! My daughter looked at going to University in Dundee - it's only about 3 hours south of us, but as it worked out she ended up at Aberdeen, which is only just over an hour away. You'd love Scotland, I'm sure - as long as you came when it wasn't raining!!
