Thank you Nancy! Yes, most of my skies are painted pretty quickly and usually as part of the background. I usually paint skies very wet indeed, so either the whole sky or, as in this case stages of it, get painted rapidly, as I can only work as long as I can keep the whole lot consistently wet. I spend a lot more time thinking about what I'm going to do next than actually painting!

The 'Rivet Joint' aircraft shown outside 51 Squadron's building at RAF Waddington. This was painted as a commission for 51 Squadron on the occasion of their centenary - a great honour for me to be asked to do this!
