Yes I saw the article in Paint. Spectacular painting (as is your gallery) and it looks even better on line. Very well done you deserve it.

Richard, as a lad I lived in Malta for a while, and have returned to visit three times. It has a place in my soul, and this has brought back memories for me. I admire your skill, but more than that you have been able to communicate something about the place. Thank you.

I remember this painting, stunning light on the water and all the detail in the background. Congratulations!

Fabulous painting and I'm not at all surprised that it won such well deserved accolades.

Congratulations on your award - well deserved for this excellent painting. You have really caught the skyline of Valletta - we have visited Malta twice, staying in Valletta on both occasions. This is super work Richard.

Thank you all for your kind comments. They are greatly appreciated.

A wonderful painting which earned you a well deserved reward.

Thanks, Pat. Much appreciated.

Congratulations with your win and also for your great gallery. I went to Malta this year with my husband and looking at this picture it took me back to Valetta straight away:)

A wonderful painting, the light is beautiful. Sounds like a great holiday. Congratulations on your achievement Richard.

I saw this on the SAA website, its beautiful and a well deserved win.

Thank you for your kind comments.

In 2011 my wife and I took a vacation in Malta. We rented a car and had a wonderful week exploring the island and its neighbour, Gozo. During our stay we took the harbour cruise from Sliema and spent a couple of hours exploring the various inlets of the Grand Harbour of the Capital, Valletta and the Three Cities. As we set off, I saw this beautiful yacht, Hera II, (known as a Turkish Gulet), which I later discovered also makes a variety of cruises around the Maltese archipelago. This view captures the skyline of Valletta and the dominant dome of the Carmelite Church. Our cruise was one of the highlights of our trip and is highly recommended to anyone visiting the island. This painting resulted in me being awarded "Professional Artist of the Year" by the UK Society for all Artists in 2012.ORIGINAL SOLD. AVAILABLE AS A GICLEE PRINT ON CANVAS OR PAPER.
