Hera II, Valletta, Malta by Richard Harpum
In 2011 my wife and I took a vacation in Malta. We rented a car and had a wonderful week exploring the island and its neighbour, Gozo. During our stay we took the harbour cruise from Sliema and spent a couple of hours exploring the various inlets of the Grand Harbour of the Capital, Valletta and the Three Cities. As we set off, I saw this beautiful yacht, Hera II, (known as a Turkish Gulet), which I later discovered also makes a variety of cruises around the Maltese archipelago. This view captures the skyline of Valletta and the dominant dome of the Carmelite Church. Our cruise was one of the highlights of our trip and is highly recommended to anyone visiting the island. This painting resulted in me being awarded "Professional Artist of the Year" by the UK Society for all Artists in 2012.ORIGINAL SOLD. AVAILABLE AS A GICLEE PRINT ON CANVAS OR PAPER.
