Been there. It's just awesome. In fact one of the most memorable days I had was hiring a boat at Lake Powell Dam marina just up stream and driving (is that the word) it up to the Rainbow Bridge - a must do if in the area - never experienced anything like floating up a slot canyon in the middle of the vast silent desert - nor the huge thuderstorm that hit us in the middle of the way back - utterly terrifying when you're 10miles out from shore in a small(ish) boat made of metal with big pointy bits.. Like the picture as well. I actually like that you've kept the distortion in from the panoramic method used - it adds to the feeling of scale. Oh and Page is a great small town.

Thanks, Ade, We looked at hiring a boat on Lake Powell but did not really have enough time to reach anywhere worthwhile - plus the lake level was very low. By the way, I've seen your work somewhere before and like your style. Hope we get to bump into each other somewhere in Yorkshire.

Following a hiking trip with a close friend around Zion National Park in Utah,on the way back to Phoenix we stopped by Horseshoe Bend on the Colorado River just south of Page, Arizona. On the walk to the river, there is no hint of what is to come. It is not until you reach the rim that you are suddenly rewarded with the magnificent sight of the River winding around this enormous bend 1,100 feet below.
