Reflections by Richard Harpum
18" x 24". In this still life I wanted to create a painting that was colourful and provided a mixture of both floral and interesting objects on the theme of 'reflections'. I experimented with dozens of different arrangements, all placed on a large mirror and with a black background. After many attempts and hundreds of photographs, I eventually settled on this layout. What I found exciting about it was the reflections, not only in the mirror but between the objects in the painting.
