Barrington Court Gardens, Somerset
24" x 30". This painting was awarded a commendation in the SAA Artist of the Year 2009. In 2007 I visited Barrington Court, a National Trust property near Ilminster in Somerset with my wife and some friends. It was a beautiful August day and the flowers were at their best. The elegant formal gardens were influenced by the garden designer Gertrude Jekyll and are laid out in a series of 'rooms'. I have produced two versions of this picture; one with my two friends in it and one without. Please visit my web site at: www.richardharpum.com
