Oil on 61 x 91 cm (24 x 36 inch) box canvas. In 1919, salmon catches in Scotland's rivers fell to their lowest recorded levels. A reason for generally reducing wild salmon numbers may be that warming seas are driving North the plankton young salmon feed on.
