Rhyn, you have already had a comment about multiple postings, so I don't want to heap more problems on you. However, I do think we all need to be sensitive about what images we post on this very open site. While I can admire your imagination and execution of your art, I am worried that this and another painting entitled 'decomposing flesh' could be very offensive to anyone who has recently lost a loved one. It is bad enough having to bury someone without having to imagine what goes on afterwards. I realise that all art is very valid and has it's place but in a gallery you can choose to walk up to a painting and view or walk on past. On this site, you put up the page and the images fly onto your screen and there is no escape. Perhaps these ones are best left to viewers who can choose to view. I am not trying to be difficult - just putting a point of view for you to consider.

hi Thea, Im sorry I have offended you or anyone who would have complained, I have changed all their names, but you have to understand that art is a visual statement on the human tragidy, happiness ect, I know Im right here, for example francis bacon with his flesh paintings rembrandt with his painting of a hung cow depicting jesus on the cross, damien hurst with his sawn shark in a glass box, they are all wodrks that are shown to the public, it doesnt matter where you go, art is there to shock its audience, I personally know people who have died and see no reason why it should be shown in an abstract form, next time just dont visit my page or my work

Ah - I begin to understand now. I have taken the trouble to look at your website to try to understand where you are coming from. I can see that you have many talents, but you look as if you a still very young and idealistic. Many of us on POL won't see 60 again and our views on life are coloured by the fact that we have been around the block a few more times than you have yet giving us that bit of wisdom that you inevitably gain in life. You bursting on here breathing fire was never going to work, so just try toning the whole thing down a bit. Post a couple of paintings at a go, take criticism without losing your rag, and just be a bit gentle with the long standing members who understand how best this site works. Happily this sort of thing happens very very rarely on the gallery, so let's see an end to any problems and go forward just respecting each other's viewpoint.

thankyou, yes i am young and do have alot of views on life, I wish that more people would tone down their anger as that only brings out the ugliness of who you really are, you on the other hand write to me in a polite mannor and I respect your wishes, I have been raised up being polite to everyone and anyone, on the other half I do have a right to stand up for myself if I feel I dont deserve hatefull comments, mabye im a little old fashioned but thats how I view things in life, give me respect and I will give respect back, its only karma in the end of the day...

and to the comment ' been round the block more than you have' made me feel like a sheep, I may be young but I have experienced so much in my life, it doesnt help that Im mentally dissabled because that is like rustic lock on my chains

Did I understand right that you are saying that you have some challenges mentally? Forgive me if I have misunderstood, but perhaps if you explained (not that you should have to of course) it might make people view things in a very different light. The old saying 'been around the block...' doesn't imply anything - it is just a saying meaning that you are been around quite a long time - as unfortunately I have! Hopefully, you have now seen where the problems lie when joining a website like this and can re-organise how you use it so that you get all the benefits of feedback from fellow artists and the companionship that goes with that as well. We are all pretty nice people, but we can be rubbed up the wrong way. Just start again and everything will be fine.

yes I do have mental illnesses, depression, dysbraxia, dyslexia, trichotillamania and memory problems, so I try to portray life as honest as possible, I do however accept your kind gesture and start afresh, but if people do talk to me in a childish way I will either give my oppinion or ignore them

I am glad that you want to start afresh and I am also sure you will get great benefit from the feedback from the many excellent artists on this site. Perhaps just post one painting a day and then you will see that it will stand out and people will then comment on it. You will then build up a following of people who admire your work and then it is all plain sailing from then on. I am not a huge fan of art to shock, but I can see that you also do some wonderful drawings and life work which will appeal to many on the site. Perhaps, if you don't mind me offering a little advice, just throw in one of your more provocative ones now and then just to spice things up. Good luck now and best wishes.

thankyou very much :)

This is all very intriguing
