I like this Rebecca, it has got bags of atmosphere.....the brooding sky, the tree trunk which looks as though it's been struck by lightning and I love your wonky houses, as if they have been shaken by thunder. It's good to see you changing your theme a little too. I have a change occasionally, I'v got two oils on the go.

As Fiona says , great atmosphere. . You could add three men!

Hi Fiona :-) i do create different things occasinally :-p i do tend to keep to similar themes because that is my style of artwork at the moment :-) 2 oils on the go, cool, do you get annoyed with them drying so slow at all? Or do you like to go back to change and add things? :-)

Thanks Sylvia :-) i am pleased you like it, i thought i may get moaned at if i add 3 people again :-p

You are right there , it is very atmospheric. Just read your comment about oils. I find that I have not enough patience with them and soon make muddy colours by working on them too soon. I overcome this a bit by scrubbing a first thin layer of paint into the canvas and then paint thicher on top. I have no patience at all.

:-) i know what you mean Sarah, i do have patience when it comes to painting, and disagreements, but that's about it :-p oils try too slow for me, and because i paint so much in day, to have something take too long to dry means i have less space to put it out of harms way. Do you prefer watercolours to oils Sarah? :-) or acrylics?

No I don't have the patience for oils Rebecca, I've been waiting three days to go back to the ones I've got on the go.........it's driving me MAD!!!!!!:) I'll do a few watercolours to pass the time.

Hi there Rebecca, In answer to your question - at the moment I prefer watercolour but I think that oils have that rich colour and if you make a mistake you can always paint it out and repaint over it. I like acrylics too, they dry fast and you can paint over mistakes again and again. There is a brand of acrylics made by atelier. They keep workable for longer and I find them very good , but then I use the normal acrylics too and spray them with water on my plate to stop them drying out :) Any queries or for chat on art matters reach me on [email protected]. I've given up on those 50 pages i'm behind :{

50 pages while you were away, blimey! oh well, that will teach you for going away :-p i have those atelier interactive and do agree they do take longer to dry, but where i live, we get a lot of heat and unless you have a stay wet palette they still dry too fast if you want to do a big painting, and the spray bottle wets everywhere near me and me :-p thanks for address. I tend to just use here though :-p

You just reminded me that the spray bottle is a bit temperamental, I too have been soaked with it. All the best :)

:-p i know, totally nightmareish, especially if i am using pastels with it too, because it sprays the powder everywhere as well :-) Have you painted anything today? :-)

I used chinese or Indian ink, i cant remember, but i also used a calligraphy pen. The colours are Brusho powders :-) Atmospheric Street is looking a bit deserted at the moment, but the lone person has just heard thunderous vibrations through the ground, so that could be why :-p
