A very misty feel to this. How do you find the water brush? I have been told that they are very good :)

Hi Sarah, im pleased you can see the misty feel to this painting, the waterbrush achieves it very easily. I have the Koi one from Sakura Brynzeel (bad spelling) the smaller sized one, they come in 3 sizes, small, medium and large. they have 2 valves to stop flowing, i have not tried any other brands, so i am not sure how good they are. I like them for wetting the paper first, and wet into wet paintings, they are not that great for detail, because the longer and slower you hold them in one area, the more water comes out........ sometimes i prefer the waterbrush because it is cleaner, and saves on space for water pots everywhere :-p

This is A6 in size, a watercolour painting on Arches watercolour rough paper. I used a water brush to create this familiar scene i like to paint :-) the watercolour paints are Lyra Aqua crayons :-)
