Impressive painting of what looks like a fantastic place to be Ray. I really like your dark tones and the gnarled shape of the trees.

Love those ancient oak woodlands, Ray - have been to ones in mid Argyll and Ardnamurchan. You have captured there lushness beautifully. These woodlands always remind me of Tolkein.

Oil on mdf board. Tycanol is one of the few remaining ancient woodlands in #Wales. It's important not only for its ancient oaks, but also for the many rocky outcrops. Both trees and rocks are covered with mosses and nearly 400 species of lichen.
