The hall of 64 pillars or Chausath Khamba in New Delhi is made of white marble and was built in 1624-25. A painting of the hall by William and Thomas Daniell was done around 1800 but mistakenly titled as the mausoleum of Amir Khusero. The hall today looks exactly like it did 400 years back except that a tile to the right of the doorway is missing which I have noted in my painting !
