Lovely rugged landscape and escarpment showing "Dunnatorr" castle ruins, and the calm sea and sky contrasts well, showing the grey surfaces well and lit up windows and sky-lights.

I just don’t k ow how you acrylic artists do this ! Beautiful textures. How many hours did this take to complete?

Thanks Angela and Diana, The painting too quite a few session over a couple of week, so about 12-15 hrs in total I would guess. I do both oils and acrylics - merits in both, but I prefer the solidity of oils. Acrylics are great for layering quickly, oils you need to be more patient. Glazing in acrylics is possible and I rely on this a lot, I use a slow dry medium to do this. If your on Facebook follow me at www.facebook.com/QuintinJDaviesArtist where i post intermediate step in both oils and acrylics. Thanks for the interest, Quintin
