Lovely work, what medium is it in?

This is beautifully done Penny, did you paint the background over the whole canvas first then overpaint the flowers on top or did you have the flowers drawn then do the background leaving the flowers free of colour to then paint? If you don't mind me asking.

Rachel Holden I did the whole back ground first then over painted the flowers gradually building up the layers. Takes a bit longer to do this way but I prefer it. And many thanks for your kind comments to all
