Bright and uplifting - look forward to seeing the oil

Beautiful and so real.

Lovely shine on those leaves and the blossoms are a beautiful colour.

Gorgeous work Val,, love your colours and shine on the leaves, so realistic looks like we could just pick it up, great work on the unopened buds as well

Val what a beauty, had to log in to say how this caught my eye. those shiny leaves buds add so much beauty.

Wonderful watercolour Val, it looks so real, love the super shine on the leaves and the tight little buds.

Where have you been hiding this one? It's beautiful. Love the shine on those leaves. Really lovely.

Beautiful , love the shine and depth you have got on the leaves enhanced with the beautiful flowers

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments everyone.. Sorry to be so long in acknowledging them but I had a bit of a disaster today. A painting that was going into an exhibition this afternoon needed mirror plates on instead of the usual D rings and I managed to put a great big b****y scratch on the frame whilst doing it which resulted in an emergency dash to my framers. The trials and tribulations of entering exhibitions ! I'll certainly take more care in future . Thanks again folks :)

SAs you know this is not my style Val but nevertheless it is superb example of botanical painting and mastery of the medium

Thank you for your kind comments Helen and Alan, much appreciated.

Another beautiful painting Val

Apologies for late comment Val.....I can only echo previous comments, this is a delight.

This is a perfect botanical painting - such accuracy and such precision! Wonderful, Val.

Val, your flower paintings are just perfect - beautiful colours and textures.

This bush flowers just outside my "studio"window and I paint it every year. This was my first attempt for 2013 painted from life in watercolour . My second attempt is a large oil which is WIP at the moment, painted from a photo as these lovely blooms don't last very long in water! Thanks for taking a peek, C & C welcome.
