We take up the race with Scrooge on the stand side ahead from Father Christmas. Followed by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, ahead of the Wombles, pinky and perky and lastly Donald Duck. Scrooge now moving half a length up from Father Christmas as he drops his money bags. Father Christmas retaliates with his elves chucking out presents from the sack. Snow White coming up on the outside shows a leg and sends Father Christmas some what of course. Oh he’s hit the rails busting the sack with the elves hanging on for dear life. But it’s certainly lightened his load. Only a furlong from home now and Scrooge has the winner trophy in sight. Humbug, and double humbug Father Christmas squeezes though past Snow White, oh she’s gorgeous he yells. Half a furlong to go it’s Scrooge neck and neck with Father Christmas still with to much weight he gets shot of his jacket pants heavy boots. All in the pink it’s enough to pip Scrooge at the post. Scrooge is disqualified for lugging a turkey at Father Christmas at turn four. Meanwhile the trophy is awarded to Snow White for showing a leg.

Brilliant. The things that run through our minds when we're making a painting! Marvelously creative, John, plus a creative use of the 'comments' section. I love it. Very interesting picture, is that newsprint in the background? If so, did you seal it with something? I thoroughly approve of Snow White winning, for the very good reason you've given.

Well deserved snow white for showing a leg and Father Christmas will make sure she gets her Christmas present for being a good girl if he puts his pants on gave me a laugh John lovely

Madness setting in! Fab.

Thanks Lewis, Dennis and Tessa for your feedback. Lewis the background is news print of racing results which I went over with acrylic but it’s a bit to opaque. So I left it as a faller. So with Christmas on the final run in I turned it around for a Christmas joke.

Hilarious, John - the painting's fun too!

This one has a need for speed John! Great story too.
