It's young pigeon John is it okay , lovely painting John

Thank you Margatret. No Dennis it was gone when I found it. Just wanted to give it identity by painting it. Thanks.

You've captured death John. That's an achievement. I thought it was dead as soon as I looked at the small gallery picture. There's nothing as sad as seeing a young death. Images that stay with you always. Art can communicate everything, including such profound sadness. Poor bairn.

Poor wee thing John, it's infuriatingly sad but forever immortalised now because of your thoughtfulness.

Thanks Michael, but it was not death I was focusing on, but as you say it appears that what has been recorded.

Thanks Fiona, that's the very reason I wanted to make a painting of the little creature. To immortalise it. I had two which I reared. They used to pinch the dogs dinner and I always had to see the off.

That is sad, he would have made a beauty, but you have captured him so well John. I have had to bury many young birds that didn't make it, sad but that's nature.

Rather sad but well painted John.

You have given him a place in your sketch book John, never to be forgotten, a sleeping beauty indeed.

Brill.

I found a dead ewe out on the hill once, I had my sketch book with me and for the same reason you painted this, I just wanted to record it's existence rather than it's death. I didn't want it 'not' thought about, it's passing not noticed by anyone, if that makes sense?

Yes it makes perfect sense Fiona, is not to record a death but the creatures existence. Thank you.
