Box Hill, Surrey by John Graham Inkson

Box Hill, Surrey

Beautifully painted John, lovely sense of sunlight. (Box Hill is just down the road from me, but I see you're not local. Was it painted on a visit there?)

Not good terrain for Wiggins and Co but very good subject to paint like this, smashing work.

Jenny my mum lived there for sometime, and still lives in Surrey. However I am not from Wolverhamton, Southend. I used to visit the Surrey Downs each Spring to paint the blue bells.

Yes, we have some beautiful bluebell woods in this part of the Surrey Hills, well worth a visit to paint, although I'm not a landscape painter myself. (John, thank you so much for the very kind and encouraging comment you left on one of my posts - it was hugely appreciated!)
