Very nice. Took me a while to get my eye in, but then the details came forward. Is the burning Canberra an historical depiction of imaginative? Nice clever work.

Thank you David, its an imaginative depiction. I worked from some web photos of a wrecked Canberra down in Cornwall then worked up the firefighters/light etc. I considered researching an historical event, but ultimately I didn't want to remember someone's misfortune, more to concentrate on the bravery of the rescue teams. In my mind it could as easily be a practice exercise on an aircraft hulk.

My first thought on reading the title was “Salisbury “! But having looked properly, this is very dramatic and a wonderful colour palette Paul. It’s an excellent tribute to the people who serve in dangerous situations. Well done.

Salisbury - I hope not :-) . Thank you Tessa your comments are much appreciated. Chrome Orange, Raw Umber, Ultramarine and a hint of Winsor Yellow. Just a small dot of white on the rear fireman's visor.

Very effective palette for the subject Paul, adds to the drama and danger of the scene.
