I've been on the same boat trip - unfortunately, there seemed to be two thunder storms going on at the time, on either side of the Needles; I have rarely felt so ill, and this is rather bringing the feeling back: but before waving goodbye to my breakfast, allow me to congratulate you for capturing this western tip of the place where I was born. The knife is well suited to capturing the play of light on those chalk cliffs.

I've been meaning to paint this since visiting the Isle of Wight last summer. Caught the lovely light on The Needles in a photo whilst on a boat trip. 10" x 10" oil on canvas, painted as ever by knife.
