The Dog and Duck

Great title and lovely old fashioned feel to the work.

It is actually a Sunday last month in Skipton. Perhaps the 'old fashioned feel' comes from leaving out the numerous signs; the large building on the right was against the light and caught my eye, also there are no modern buildings in the view. I also simplified it to make it possible for me to paint and this may have contributed to the 'old fashioned feel'.

What a smashing picture. So much in it and such a lovely quirkiness about it.
