Surprised this hasn't drawn comments, but then I suppose you can't comment on everything, and there's so much work on the Gallery now - anyway: it's an unusual technique you've used, which works (I even like your signature!). It could so easily go wrong and look a bit contrived, but no - you've not allowed that to happen. I'm not at all surprised your subject was tickled pink ....

I drew this portrait of Neil (subject BAFTA winning Marvelous) a few months ago and I am told that he is "tickled pink" by it. I rendered his eyes within the area of his specticals in the normal way hoping that they would stand out a little compared with the rest of the portrait which has tonal lines which radiate from a point on the nosepiece of his glasses. If you zoom in you will see that this created a few prodlems when drawing his moustache but I think I got around the problem ok in the end.
