I love the vertical format of this, emphasising those quaint chimneys and houses. The figure going down the street gives a good sense of place. Lovely work Peter.

I took the reference photo for this painting when on the Isle of Man last summer. It's one of those fascinating streets in Peel full of old and varied cottages. I don't usually include people in my paintings but this one figure had to be included. I've called this one 'Going Home' (Peel, Isle of Man).
