Thoroughly enjoyed looking at you website Peter, an interesting mix of subjects and ideas. That was quite a task for your 70th, well done for sticking with it, I know I would have collapsed midway! I lived across the Minch from you a few years ago, on the coast of Assynt and kept Boreray sheep, a link to a couple of your paintings. I particularly like your charcoal, pencil, and the window paintings.....but all your work is unique and innovative.

I had little experience of charcoal drawing but as part of my artistic challenge I wanted to tackle other media. The subject matter comes from a bible passage I remember hearing at a service in the 80's. At the time it generated loads of visual images and I wanted to play around with them. It only took me 30 years to get some down on paper. This is one of a series I recently completed and hope to translated into a painting sometime.
