Madness of war. Jam. by Peter Meuleners

Peter, these are very, very good. Your superb painting skills aside, the imagery is beautiful. WW1 being a subject I study quite a lot, I can say they are increadably accurate too. Maddness does'nt even begin to describe it. You've captured the sentiment so well. I look forward to seeing more.

Not a subject I would be particularly drawn too, and not the usual 'pretty' imagery that many of us try to execut. Nor is the subject of war one I have any experience of (apart from TV news images or films), but I find these paintings thought provoking and strangely disturbing, which is probably their intent. Together, they make an incredible collection and as Tony Challis comments, demonstrate great painting skill.
