Lovely subject, beautifully painted - the flaking paint and rust.

Well observed painting, the shadows are great from the flaking paint and the rust is spot on.

It was a really good exercise doing the ink drawings, A2 paper laid on the floor (just as well it was a beautiful Highlands day, cold but very sunny), a couple of sticks from nearby then some moss for the washes and wetting the paper. Something I would never have chosen to do but probably familiar to some of you who have been to art classes.
