I love your two monprints. I, too, am a monoprint addict. Great excitement when pulling back the paper!

Hi Margaret, yes I am quite hooked too, I did one last night that I will post next week - it's drying at the print school but I was very pleased with it - it's a brown trout's head. Pop by next week! Thanks for your comments.

A two-colour monoprint of a fellow printmaking student at London’s Mary Ward Centre where I've been studying printmaking. See petergander.blogspot.com for monoprint technique, but basically, a piece of cartridge is laid face-down onto an inked printing plate (zinc/metal) and drawn on 'the reverse'. The result is linework with a beautiful texture. Any implement, mark-making or not, can be used, such as a piece of card or 'wrong end' of a brush. More monoprints to follow.
