Great pic! I was there last summer - it’s like a Hobbit house.

This is excellent Pete. I especially like how you have caught the undulations of the old roof....good luck with your exhibition! I spent my honeymoon there, not the post office, Tintagel.

Super work Pete, hope the exhibition goes well.

Great painting.

Great. Been there many times. All the best for your exhibition.

Thanks Claire. It is a wonderful building.

Thanks Fiona. It is a magical place and was always on the itinerary for a visit when we holidayed in Cornwall. I now live about 7 miles from Tintagel.

Thank you Stephen. Nice to hear from you.

Thanks a lot Romila

Thanks Pat. Appreciated.

Thanks very much Dennis.

Really like this one Pete. That rickety old roof is great.

Thanks Brian. Appreciate it.

Watercolour on Arches CP paper. 1/2 imperial. As my next exhibition is taking place in Tintagel I wanted to paint a local landmark. The Old Tintagel Post Office is now under the patronage of the National Trust. THe building is very old, dating from 1380 and was a Cornish Hall-House. It was used as a post office in Victorian times. The view shown here is not fully visible from this angle due to a large tree in the corner of the garden. I have moved the tree to the rear of the house and I've had to use several photos from different angles to construct the left hand side of the building.
