Monochrome portrait using Raw Umber studios exercise. Painted using cobra water mixable oils on linen canvas. I used hog hair brushes for the first time which I thought provided softer brush marks but less control than in comparison to synthetic brushes. The result wasn’t quite what I was aiming for so will put some time into learning more about oil painting techniques.
